If you missed the brief appearance of the demo on-line, email me and I'll give you a URL to look at it. I don't want to leave something half-baked in the public view.
\n
\nIf we are going to go with the Blogschapines code as a starting point, we have 2 ways forwards. We could simply fork the project (go our own way independently of Blogschapines) or work on internationalising the application and then try to move forward together with the Blogshapines developers.
\n
\nThe first option will be much easier!","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[{"id":"195190","body":"Hi Robert,
\nI had a look at your demo, the Blogschapines demo and the sourceforge page.
\nI could not see much in the way of a feature list did you get one when you downloaded the project?
\nHow easy will it be to get it to where we want it?
\nDo we know what we want yet? This page has not had much input yet. I'd be interested in what other folk want in the way of features.","dateCreated":"1166355931","smartDate":"Dec 17, 2006","userCreated":{"username":"johnjohnston","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/johnjohnston","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/pic\/1216553417\/johnjohnston-lg.jpg"}},{"id":"195222","body":"The features are:
\n
\nBlogs are stored in categories (not multiple tags)
\nAggregated feeds are generated for each category.
\nLists of blogs in each category showing date of last post.
\n
\nThis is clearly some way from what we want, but actually it already does a lot of the painful donkey work. It stores blogs in categories, grabs feeds and generates feeds. Even if we were to throw out most of the remaining code, those features are a good base.
\n
\nI'm going to do another scout around what else is out there before doing anything else.","dateCreated":"1166366572","smartDate":"Dec 17, 2006","userCreated":{"username":"jonesieboy","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/jonesieboy","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"202126","body":"Looks like I'm getting quite far with Ruby on Rails.
